Attitude

What is in an attitude? How important is attitude to how we live our lives? How do we change a negative attitude into a positive one and maintain that? These are the questions I posed to our youth last night, and one that I feel God has really put on my heart to pose to everyone who reads this blog.

Attitude is everything. It is who we are and what we are. It is what makes us...us. Next to accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, I am not sure that there is anything more important in our walk with God than our attitude. It affects the way we worship, the way we pray, the way we witness, and the way we treat others. It is US!

Think about your attitude. Is it one that people are drawn to, or one that repels? Is it one that Christ smiles on or one that brings a tear to His eye? See God is very specific and detailed on how He wants us to conduct ourselves when in Matthew 22:37 He tells us to... "love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and with all your mind... and love your neighbor as yourself."

Is that you? Do you love your God with all that is in you? And if you have that part down, do you love your neighbor as yourself? See, that is who you are. That is your attitude.

I will admit it...I want to love and be loved. But the question is, "Is my attitude one that shows my love for others and one that others can love?' Think about that.
